About The Computer and Technology Club

Early in 1995 we were looking for a place to meet. The Hilton at Sandestin became our temporary home. A great place to meet, but a little pricy for our limited budget. It wasn't long before we found a new place, the Faith Assembly Church which was a great place to meet and was centrally located. With an anonymous member donating a projector we were on our way. Membership dues were set at $20.00 per year and used to purchase items needed in the training efforts. Additional members and snowbirds forced us to run our classes in the "Big Hall" from time to time. The presentation format stimulated questions and we established a basic format which was refined over time. The first part of our meetings were devoted to questions and answers , the second half was a major presentation by one of the members on a new software system or hardware device. Our web site was commisioned and we have enjoyed an evolving sense of purpose ever since. Today we largely address the ever changing technologies and serve the needs of local and winter guests during the fall and winter months.
